Community Resilience North Somerset

VANS has recently taken over the responsibility of the Community Resilience North Somerset (CRNS) volunteers from North Somerset Council.

CRNS volunteers explore every opportunity to improve the lives of the more vulnerable, to reduce the impact of potential emergencies and deliver an effective response when the time comes. These volunteers are invaluable to communities across North Somerset and respond to crises which may occur, where they can reduce the impact of incidents within their communities.

These volunteers are also undertaking a role within their local areas to act as a ‘Good Neighbour’ building on the services provided during Covid and to assist in supporting those residents who may be feeling lonely and isolated.
